Italia! Italia! World Cup Final
We recently visited Maine and then Boston to see old friends. On Sunday, we went to the North End, which is the Little Italy of Boston, to watch the World Cup final of Italy vs. France. It was wild. Police closed the main streets in the area and people flooded local cafe to watch through the front windows.

USA World Cup - Done
I like a good World Cup discussion as much as the next guy. However, going into yesterday's game vs. Ghana, it seemed rather odd discussing the probability that the US would advance into Round 2 if it could win. The reason it seem odd is that the US had not proven yet that it could score a goal. It's only goal in games 1 and 2 was an own goal by Italy. So first things first, we have to score to win. In the end, the US did score today, but it still wasn't enough.

OK - Full Disclosure - It's our other Website. We started SoccerClub! in 1997. It was originally called SoccerCoach!, but that did not seem to include range of content that we were looking to provide for the soccer coach, player and administrator.
The earliest story about the power of the Internet was that my very first Website post was negative story about another soccer Website that had been running for about a year, but required a fee to see the content. In less that two hours I had received a note from that Webmaster explaining the situation. How the news spread to him so fast was amazing, but we were on the soccer community radar very quickly.
