Kicks for Cancer

Kicks for CancerWorking closely with US Youth Soccer and the United States National Soccer Team Players Association, youth soccer groups in Eastern Pennsylvania, Northern Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Washington and Alaska have been raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society over the past 3 years.

Kicks Against Breast Cancer

Kicks Against Breast CancerKICKS raises funds to fight cancer through a series of intercollegiate soccer tournaments and a soccer pin initiative that i run through local soccer organizations.

The Kicks tournament was developed by Louise Waxler as a fundraising for the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource & Image Center at Howard County Hospital in Columbia, MD. The soccer ball with a pink ribbon has been the trademarked emblem for nine years of the Kicks Against Breast Cancer college soccer tournament in Maryland.

From their Website: The National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) began in 1970 as a one-time ski lesson for children with amputations for the Children's Hospital of Denver. Today, the NSCD is one of the largest outdoor therapeutic recreation agencies in the world. Each year, thousands of children and adults with disabilities take to the ski slopes, mountain trails and golf courses to learn more about sports - and themselves. With specially trained staff and its own adaptive equipment lab, the NSCD teaches a variety of winter and summer sports and activities to individuals with almost any physical, cognitive, emotional, or behavioral diagnosis.
